Job Description

Job Overview Maddie's Pizzeria is a new grab-and-go pizza shop opening at 119 E. 96th St. in New York City , founded by experienced pizza operators. We're looking for friendly, dependable Counter / Guest Experience team members to be the face of Maddie's and help deliver fast, welcoming service from the moment a guest walks in. This role combines traditional counter and cashier responsibilities with the hospitality and guest interaction of a server role. You'll take orders, run the register, package food, coordinate pickups, and help keep guests moving quickly through a busy grab-and-go environment.

Full-time and part-time; lunch, dinner, and weekend availability preferred Key Responsibilities Greet guests and provide friendly, efficient service Take and accurately enter walk-in, phone, and online orders into the POS Handle cash and card payments accurately Plate slices and package orders for takeout, pickup, and delivery Coordinate third-party delivery pickups and call-in orders Communicate clearly with the kitchen to keep orders accurate and moving on time Keep the counter, display case, condiment station, and guest-facing areas clean, organized, and fully stocked Help manage guest flow and keep lines moving quickly during busy periods Assist with light restocking and other front-of-house needs as required Qualifications Previous cashier, counter, server, or quick-service restaurant experience preferred, but not required Comfortable learning and using a POS system and handling cash accurately Friendly, energetic, dependable, and guest-focused Able to multitask and stay composed during busy service periods Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one within 30 days Physical Requirements Able to stand for shifts of up to 8 hours Able to lift up to 25 lbs., including supply boxes and food trays Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-traffic restaurant environment
Pay:
$16.50 - $19.00 per hour
