Atlantic Lawn and Garden
Landscape and Architectural Project Designer
Job Description
Atlantic Lawn & Garden, dba Atlantic Design & Build has designed and built numerous projects across coastal Rhode Island since 1997. We are a licensed landscape architecture firm, and our Design & Build division builds what it draws — terraces, walls, gardens, pools and spas, waterfront landscapes, drainage, decks, outbuildings and more — with our own carpentry, masonry, and excavation crews. We're hiring a designer to produce our design documentation and material estimates, across both landscape and building scopes. You'll develop concepts into presentation drawings, 3D models, renderings, permit sets, and construction details, then produce the takeoffs that price the work. The person who designs the project counts the material — it's the fastest way to become a designer worth hiring. You'll walk sites, take part in client meetings, work alongside a fun group of talented individuals, and watch your details get built by crews you know.
What we need:
a degree in landscape architecture, architecture, or landscape design, or equivalent demonstrated ability; strong 3D modeling and documentation skills (SketchUp, Revit, or similar); a working grasp of grading and drainage; a portfolio that shows how you think; a valid driver's license. Hands-on construction experience and a strong knowledge of plant material are real pluses. Licensure isn't required. If you're working toward it, we're a licensed firm and happy to talk about how that path can work here.Benefits:
