Full Job Description:

C-MECH Engineering is seeking a motivated Mechanical & Plumbing BIM Designer to support the design of commercial HVAC and plumbing systems. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional looking to expand their Revit, BIM, and MEP design expertise while working directly with experienced engineers on real-world commercial projects. You'll collaborate directly with engineers and design professionals to create construction documents, coordinate multidisciplinary project models, and contribute to energy-efficient building designs. Work will include assisting in the design of commercial HVAC and Plumbing projects for construction documents. Previous design or construction work and International Mechanical & Plumbing code knowledge will be an advantage. Responsibilities:

• Develop HVAC and plumbing system drawings in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Create and maintain BIM models for commercial construction projects.
• Assist engineers in the preparation of construction documents.
• Coordinate models with architectural, structural, electrical, and civil disciplines.
• Incorporate design revisions and maintain drawing standards.
• Participate in project coordination meetings.
• Support permit, bidding, and construction documentation.
• Enhance current drafting procedures, methodologies, and policies in coordination with Project Designers & Engineers.

Schedule:

Education:

Completion of a two- to three-year college program (associate degree) in engineering design and drafting technology or in a related field. Completion of a one or two-year college or technical college certificate program in drafting. or Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program. or Four years of related experience plus completion of college or industry courses.

Required Experience:

CAD Design experience: 1-2 Years 1-year REVIT 1 year

AutoCAD Software Autodesk Revit AutoCAD Microsoft Office Preferred Experience:

HVAC/Plumbing Design:

1-2 Years Previous employment at MEP design or contracting firm Commercial construction experience. Understanding of International Building code Technical Knowledge Building construction documents HVAC systems Plumbing systems BIM coordination Commercial construction practices
