Position Overview:

NRW Engineering is seeking a full-time Structural Drafter/Technician to support the planning, design, and development of structural engineering projects. The successful candidate will prepare detailed structural drawings, models, and construction documents using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD while working as part of a collaborative engineering team. This position offers opportunities to contribute to a variety of project assignments, develop technical expertise, and play an important role in the successful delivery of structural engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed structural plans, sections, details, schedules, and construction notes. Develop structural models and construction documents using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. Develop and update structural drawings based on existing record and as-built documents. Coordinate project requirements with project managers, design engineers, and clients. Assist with field investigations and site visits to evaluate and document existing structural conditions. Collaborate with engineers to develop accurate, complete, and coordinated construction documents. Support project teams in meeting project schedules, quality standards, and deliverable requirements.

Education, Qualifications, and Experience:

Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent training in Drafting, Engineering Technology, CAD Technology, or a related field preferred. Experience using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD to develop engineering and construction drawings. Experience using Bluebeam Revu is preferred. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Applicable internship, cooperative education, or related work experience is a plus. Ability to read, interpret, and apply information from engineering drawings, sketches, and construction documents. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to project sites as required. Ability to obtain and maintain credentials required to access Department of Defense installations.
