Our 150-ton Travelift attracts customers from Florida to Chicago to the Texas coast. Services include all aspects of vessel refit and repair including authorized diesel engine dealerships in-house. Founded in Mobile, Alabama, in 1959, Saunders has many years of experience in marine engine service and boatyard operations. This is a great opportunity for you to join an exceptional team! Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Marine Electronics Technician to join our Vessel Systems Department. This position is responsible for the installation, service, troubleshooting, and repair of marine electronics and electrical systems aboard vessels ranging from 20 to 130 feet. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with marine electrical and electronics systems, strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently on a variety of vessel types and systems. ABYC certification is preferred. Responsibilities Inspect, install, troubleshoot, service, and repair marine electronics and electrical systems aboard vessels ranging from 20 to 130 feet Use diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and manufacturer resources to identify and resolve issues with equipment from brands such as Furuno, Garmin, Raymarine, and Simrad Service and support onboard systems including navigation and communications equipment, stabilizers, watermakers, filtration and sanitation systems, battery chargers, bow thrusters, and other vessel systems Conduct thorough assessments to determine repair needs, recommended solutions, and required parts Accurately document work performed Order and assign parts and purchases to the appropriate work orders Coordinate with Vessel Systems Managers, Service Advisors, and other technicians to complete work safely, efficiently, and to Saunders Yachtworks quality standards Qualifications Professional experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing marine electronics and electrical systems Working knowledge of marine electrical, electronics, plumbing, and onboard water systems Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team ABYC certification preferred Must possess appropriate personal hand tools and be available to work overtime as needed Valid Drivers License Successfully pass a background check, pre-employment physical and drug screen Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to excellence in marine service! $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
