  • Complete preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems as assigned through an online work order system; investigate reported concerns, document findings, and update records. 20%
  • In consultation with the HVAC specialist senior, perform maintenance on HVAC equipment & controls and adjust HVAC system settings using building automation system. 10%
  • Coordinate with outside vendors or internal trades personnel as needed for resolution of more complex issues. 10%
  • Assist teams engaged in large campus projects and maintenance activities. 10%
  • As assigned, perform other related duties appropriate to the grade level of the position.
Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and three years of specialized building maintenance and/or repair experience related to area of assignment. There is no substitution or equivalency allowable for the High School Diploma or GED. OR An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as Desired Qualifications 1. Three (3) or more years of experience working in a commercial or institutional facilities maintenance role with responsibility for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing multiple building systems/areas such as electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall repair, or painting. 2. Completion of one (1) or more HVAC training classes covering A/C operating principles, building automation systems, HVAC controls troubleshooting, HVAC equipment maintenance, etc. 3. One (1) or more years of experience assisting trades personnel in completing projects. 4. Experience using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary to maintain commercial facilities. 5. Experience and proficiency with lockout/tagout procedures. 6. Experience reading and understanding architectural drawings and specifications. 7. One (1) year of full-time, relevant MCCCD experience within the previous two years.
