Senior Level Opportunity Summary This aerospace and defense manufacturer builds precision components for mission-critical systems, where every measurement has to be right. As the Calibration Technician, you'll own the accuracy and integrity of the equipment that keeps production and inspection compliant with
AS9100D, ISO
9001, and other exacting industry standards. It's a chance to put your metrology expertise to work in a role with real authority, high visibility, and direct impact on product safety and quality. Responsibilities Maintain the calibration database and master equipment list, tracking due dates to keep all inspection, measuring, and test equipment compliant and audit-ready. Coordinate internal and external calibration activities, including working with ISO/IEC 17025-accredited labs and reviewing certificates for accuracy and traceability. Identify, segregate, and control equipment that is damaged, overdue, or out of tolerance, initiating nonconformance documentation as needed. Partner with Quality Engineering on Out-of-Tolerance impact assessments to determine whether reinspection or further investigation is required. Maintain complete calibration and verification records and support internal, customer, and AS9100 audits of the measurement system. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or associate de gree preferred. 2-3 years of calibration, metrology, inspection, or quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications, with a working understanding of dimensional tolerances, GD&T, and calibration/measurement-control principles. Preferred Experience in an AS9100-certified aerospace or defense manufacturing facility. Exposure to CNC machining or aluminum casting operations. Familiarity with
ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL
Z540.3, and NIST traceability requirements. Formal metrology or calibration training/certification. Experience with Gauge R&R and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
