Job Description

Trayer Engineering Corporation (A Siemens Business) manufactures low-maintenance vacuum switchgear designed to thrive in the most challenging circumstances. Every submersible, padmount or vaultmount product is backed by over 60 years of leading innovation in design and manufacturing. www.trayer.com Reporting to the VP of Operations, this is a temp-to-hire position, based in our Livermore location. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without visa sponsorship. Job Description Ability to perform removal and cleaning of the AutoLAS (auto-focus) filter screen Work with management and all company departments to meet orders booked goals and customer satisfaction objectives Maintain and fine tune laser technology tables while cutting focus, speed and gas pressure Ability to clean all cutting lenses and mirrors as needed, and as per scheduled maintain timeline Ability to calibrate and focus of the laser upon start-up. Maintain an exceptional cut quality (free of dross) Ability to detect equipment malfunctions and maintain basic maintenance such as failed water lines or lift master Maintains the drop rack at laser to utilize greatest amount of excess material Ability to interpret displayed alarms Completes procedures with a proactive attitude minimizing downtime and loss of production capacity/productivity. Maintain proper issued or personal basic tools to perform daily tasks Ability to coordinate work and collaborate with other team members in a constructive manner Ability to effectively interact and communicate with all management levels Attendance and punctuality Complies with company policies and procedures Uses effective time management and balances the speed of delivering work with quality.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a laser operator. Forklift license preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Overtime, including weekends may be required.
