Leading electronic testing company (Roseville, CA 92688 - Onsite) W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL 40 hours/week, 24 Month Assignment A leading electronics testing company is seeking an Electronic Service Technician to perform testing, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of precision electronic test equipment, ensuring instruments meet performance specifications while supporting customers and cross-functional teams with high-quality technical service.
Electronic Service Technician Responsibilities:
Perform functional testing, calibration, troubleshooting, assembly, disassembly, adjustments, and basic repairs on electronic test equipment while ensuring instruments meet established performance and quality specifications. Diagnose technical issues, interpret schematics and technical documentation, maintain detailed service records, and escalate complex repairs to experienced technicians when appropriate. Support internal teams and external customers by providing technical assistance, communicating repair status, resolving service-related issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction through professional interactions. Operate within established production processes by meeting service center goals, maintaining high workmanship standards, adhering to ESD, Service Note, and quality compliance requirements, and maximizing the proper use of company resources. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and help maintain efficient calibration, repair, and service operations.
Electronic Service Technician Qualifications:
3 years of experience calibrating and repairing electronic test equipment. Technical degree, specialized training, certification, military technical experience, or equivalent education in electronics, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred. Experience working with Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Power Supplies. Experience using automated calibration software platforms such as STE, PC-Based, METCAL, or TME is preferred. PMEL experience is preferred. Strong Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office skills. Demonstrated electronic and mechanical troubleshooting competence with the ability to solve technical problems of limited scope and complexity. Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics. (H)
