We're seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Technician to join our growing San Marcos/San Diego team. What You'll Do:
Perform advanced maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty diesel truck engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems Diagnose complex mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and service manuals Execute both scheduled and unscheduled repairs with minimal supervision, ensuring safety and performance standards Operate cranes and specialized equipment to support repair and maintenance tasks Communicate clearly with customers, providing detailed service recommendations and updates Maintain accurate, detailed records of all repairs and maintenance activities Mentor entry-level technicians and collaborate with teams to enhance service delivery Stay current on industry advancements and apply expertise to improve repair processes
What You Bring:
High school diploma or GED 5+ years of hands-on equipment repair experience Advanced knowledge of diagnostic tools and service manuals Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced settings Ability to provide own tools suitable for the job Capability to prioritize and multitask effectively Valid driver's license and ability to drive a company vehicle (mobile role) Ability to pass background checks Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in indoor/outdoor environments
Preferred Qualifications:
ASE certifications or OEM-specific training (e.g., Cummins, Detroit, Volvo, etc.) Experience with field service or mobile repair Strong communication and customer service skills Proven customer-facing experience or project leadership on job sites Why Naumann Hobbs Material Handling?
