Scotts Valley, CA Temporary $28.00 - $34.00/hr Onsite Job Description
Position Overview Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to join their client's team in California. This role involves performing functional testing, diagnosing, and repairing electronic assemblies and systems, with a focus on legacy and discontinued products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring repairs meet the required standards and supporting production activities. Key Responsibilities
Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of legacy electronic assemblies and systems.
Diagnose and repair failures in aging or discontinued products.
Replace defective components and verify repairs using standard test equipment.
Work with limited or legacy documentation, including schematics, work instructions, and test procedures.
Support RMA, repair, and sustaining production activities.
Document test results, failure modes, and repair actions accurately.
Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve recurring issues.
Escalate complex or undocumented issues to senior technicians or engineers.
Follow all safety, quality, and manufacturing protocols.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required (technical training preferred).
1-3 years of experience in electronics, repair, or manufacturing preferred.
Basic understanding of electronic components and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to read schematics and follow technical instructions.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with legacy or discontinued electronic systems.
Familiarity with PCBA troubleshooting and repair.
Experience with test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
Soldering and rework experience.
Exposure to RMA or repair environments.
Required Work Hours Monday to Friday, first shift. Benefits Competitive pay range of $28 to $34 per hour.
