This position will remain open until filled. Stockton East Water District is seeking applicants for an Engineering Technician. Monthly salary range is $7,407 to $9,004. The District offers an excellent benefit program. Under general direction of the District Engineer, and performs drafting, surveying and responsible technical engineering support work in the design and construction of District structures and facilities; reviews maps and plans for conformance with District engineering and legal requirements; assists with development and preparation of engineering reports and related permit applications, assists with inspections on District projects, and other engineering projects and reports, as well as other duties as assigned.
Education and experience requirements are:
Completion of sixty semester units or equivalent quarter hours in an accredited college or university in a pre-engineering, or closely related curriculum; one (1) year of responsible technical experience in engineering support work, and one (1) year of Auto CAD and/or GIS experience; two (2) or more years of required experience is highly desirable. Possession of a valid California Department of Motor Vehicles Driver's License is required.
