Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at our Winters, California farm. You must have experience in metal fabrication along with troubleshooting of electrical & mechanical issues. You will be collaborating on automation projects to deliver solutions that enhance mechanization for Everde Growers. You will be expected to identify & modify equipment to support process improvement while playing a key role in automation design that supports the Continuous Improvement & Project Management teams at the site. Responsibilities Coordinate workflow according to schedule. Interpret verbal instructions to produce functional prototypes or equipment upgrades. Design, cut, assemble, and weld components to build or modify agricultural automation equipment. Read and interpret drawings and schematics. Demonstrate troubleshooting on control systems, pumps, motors, PLCs, and automation equipment. Troubleshoot & repair electrical issues of varying voltage levels. Shift priorities based on business needs. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team leads to support testing. Follow safety expectations with meeting participation, training, and lockout/tagout process. Qualifications 1-2 years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience. A degree, certifications, or trade school is beneficial but not required. Proficiency in metal fabrication. Familiarity with automation systems ie multimeter, basic electronic/electric troubleshooting, VFD, PLC, etc. Low to high voltage troubleshooting is a plus. Mechanical aptitude required. Experience with conveyance & hydraulic systems preferred but not required. Bilingual Spanish a plus. Proficiency with MS Office platform (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with CMMS software is preferred but not required. While performing your job duties, you will frequently be required to sit, use hands, and communicate clearly. You will be walking on uneven surfaces, reaching, bending, twisting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and occasionally lifting 50-75 pounds.
