Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Electronic Technician Group Supervisor to join our team! Need to be located in Anchorage AK! The FAA awarded the Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5) to Parsons as the prime contractor. This $1.8 billion+ contract has a 4-year base period with two 3-year options. The statement of work includes a variety of activities that support the FAA's Capital Investment Plan (CIP) modernization efforts: Site selection and engineering, construction, environmental and fire/life safety, equipment installation and testing, CAD, and other technical services as required. Work is performed across the nation in each of the FAA's nine regions as well as the Aeronautical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the Technical Center in Atlantic City, New Jersey and in several U.S. territories. An average staff of 400-500 with a peak staff over 650 supports this contract, in addition to those subcontractors who perform construction work.
General requirements:
Supervises a group of nonexempt employees typically engaged in electronics installation, testing and troubleshooting of FAA equipment and systems. The primary duty of the incumbent is to direct the work and manage the activities of employees assigned to the group. Performs a variety of office project management assignments related to installation of FAA equipment and systems.
Specific duties are:
  • Coordinates project staff to support all aspects of electronics installation projects from start-up to closeout.
  • Provides technical guidance and oversight to subordinates within work group. Monitors productivity and proficiency to ensure that completed assignments meet required schedules, quality standards, budgets, and procedures.
  • Maintains clear and concise work standards and goals, and provides training and development. Ensures that assigned personnel are thoroughly trained in and observe all safety measures related to their work area.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
This includes providing support to the regional program manager and project managers.
Typical requests may include:
Support the develop Risk Management Plans (RMPs). Create Purchase Requisitions (PRs). Coordinate resource needs with the regional program manager. Work with field staff to handle daily issues such as posting and organizing daily reports and project photos. Ensures that document control system is administered and maintained in accordance with Parsons and client procedures. Establishes and maintains liaison with design engineering staff. Reviews and interprets design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and feasibility to perform technical execution of work. Ensures that all work within his/her assigned scope of responsibility is installed in accordance with plans, specifications, and industry and quality standards. This includes ensuring that all tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented in accordance with approved procedures. Collaborates with risk specialists to eliminate any hazards associated with the work that may adversely affect the environment or the safety or health of employees. Ensures that personnel of the assigned group engage in safe work practices in compliance with site-specific safety procedures and industry standards. May assist work release project managers in portions of larger more complex activities as directed.
Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or other related certification in a technical field, or equivalent technical related work experience, as well as 10+ years of related experience, including some experience in a lead capacity. Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required. Requires a working knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes, as well as some familiarity with industry practices.

Salary Range:
$88,400.00
  • $154,700.
