Compensation Range:
$44,000
  • $54,900 (Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.
) Learn More About ABSL Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work closely with Project Engineers to qualify lithium-ion battery cells for space battery programs. Charge and discharge lithium ion battery cells and battery packs using specialized test equipment. Complete disassembly and inspection of cylindrical battery cells per established test instructions. Support a wide range of testing for new battery cell types per engineering instructions. Use good laboratory practices to maintain a clean and orderly work environment. Assembly wire harnessing for various batteries and cell assemblies.
Qualifications Educational requirement:
minimum of a high school diploma (or equivalent). Ability to follow and execute standard operating procedures in an aerospace environment. Executes work with a high attention to detail. Aerospace or high tech industry experience preferred. Works well with fellow team members, under minimal supervision, and can take work direction from engineers as required. Knowledge of or experience with lithium-ion or other batteries advantageous. "Off" hours or weekend support may be required at times. General Job Requirements Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to frequently bend; twist; reach; stoop; kneel or crouch. Must be able to lift 25 pounds/11.5 kilos on occasions. Must be able to differentiate colors. Risk of electrical shock. Employees are responsible for wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment in the proper manner at all times. Must be able and willing to work overtime.
