Job Description

About Docketly Docketly , a sister company to ABC Legal Services, is redefining legal support services. We make it easy, fast, and reliable for creditors'-rights attorneys to connect with court-hearing opportunities, pairing proprietary software with a nationwide attorney network. Based in Longmont, Colorado, we move fast and value people who do the same.
Job Summary:
Docketly provides on-demand attorney coverage for law firms across the country. Before we send an attorney to a hearing, the details have to be correct — the right court, the right time, and the right reason, exactly as our client requested. Our Verifications team is the checkpoint that makes sure of it. The Verifications Specialist III is a technical, automation-focused role on that team. While our specialists verify hearing information by hand, this position is responsible for reducing that manual work by building and maintaining the tools that verify it for us — automated data-collection tools, data-validation rules, and AI-assisted workflows. You will still perform a portion of manual verifications to stay close to the work, but your primary focus is building, improving, and maintaining our verification automation. This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in a technical career who wants hands-on experience building automation with real production tools. This is an operations and automation role rather than a traditional software-development role. We are looking for a problem solver who enjoys eliminating repetitive work with light scripting and automation. Responsibilities and Duties Build, maintain, and troubleshoot automated data-collection tools and data-retrieval scripts that gather and verify hearing information from court records and other sources Write and maintain data-extraction logic (regex) and Drools rules that validate hearing information and flag discrepancies Use AI tools such as Claude and Codex to assist verification and improve the accuracy and speed of our automation Perform manual verification of hearing information for accuracy prior to publishing to our attorney network Reconcile data across multiple sources, systems, and bulk client uploads to ensure completeness and consistency Submit and review pull requests in Bitbucket for the automation the team maintains Identify repetitive, manual processes and develop automation to reduce errors and improve turnaround Respond to internal tickets and coordinate with team members on data discrepancies and escalations Qualifications and Skills Strong critical-thinking and analytical skills, with a natural instinct for identifying what can and should be automated Basic coding ability in Python, HTML/front-end, and regex — or a solid foundation and the ability to become proficient within the first few months Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude or Codex, and genuine curiosity for getting more out of them Strong attention to detail and accuracy while working at volume Comfortable working across multiple systems and troubleshooting when something breaks Clear communicator who works well on a small, fast-moving team No legal experience required — we will teach you the court side Preferred Experience with Drools or another rules engine (we will train, but familiarity is a plus) Exposure to automated data collection, APIs, or basic data-validation work Familiarity with version control (Git/Bitbucket) and pull-request workflows A personal project you've built on your own — a script, a bot, a small app — regardless of size Who Should Apply Recent graduates with a technical or analytical background Candidates with a high school diploma and technical or QA experience who have picked up some coding and use AI tools regularly Detail-oriented problem solvers who would rather fix a repetitive process than repeat it People who are comfortable with autonomy in a fast-paced, growing environment People who genuinely enjoy solving operational problems through automation and take satisfaction in building practical tools that make work faster and more accurate
