Pull, route, place, and secure fiber-optic cable through conduit, handholes, vaults, and other pathway systems. Set up cable reels, pulling equipment, ropes, grips, and related tools. Prepare loose-tube and ribbon fiber for splicing. Perform fusion splicing, mid-sheath entries, enclosure preparation, and fiber management. Build, seal, label, and organize splice closures and fiber enclosures. Test completed fiber using an OTDR, power meter, light source, and visual fault locator. Identify and troubleshoot fiber breaks, high-loss events, damaged cable, and other service issues. Read and follow construction prints, splice diagrams, maps, fiber assignments, and customer specifications. Accurately document completed footage, splices, enclosures, test results, and other production. Submit required photos, test files, and closeout documentation. Keep work areas, vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and organized. Follow all company, customer, traffic-control, and job site safety requirements. Correct any workmanship issues and ensure completed work passes quality inspection. Experience is not required, but hard work and dedication is. Why CEBA Splicing?
