Calibration/Metrology Technician II Location:
North Haven, CT 06473 Job Summary We are seeking a Calibration/Metrology Technician II to support calibration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, optical, pneumatic, and pressure measurement equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on maintenance experience . Previous calibration or metrology experience is highly preferred but not required if the candidate has a strong technical maintenance background. Key Responsibilities Calibrate electronic test and measurement equipment according to established standards and specifications. Test, calibrate, adjust, and maintain mechanical, electromechanical, optical, pneumatic, hydro-mechanical, and pressure measuring instruments. Set up calibration sequences, methods, and procedures based on specifications, drawings, blueprints, and established requirements. Troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical equipment using schematics, diagrams, technical documentation, and defined procedures. Disassemble, clean, repair, and replace defective components on test and measurement equipment. Work with equipment such as pressure gauges, tension meters, and other measuring and indicating instruments. Perform testing and interpret test results and technical data. Maintain accurate calibration, maintenance, and testing records. Perform mathematical calculations and document results using established procedures. Monitor and verify quality in accordance with applicable quality and process-control procedures. Identify equipment issues and communicate concerns to appropriate team members. Provide technical assistance and guidance to less-experienced technicians when needed. Follow all applicable safety, quality, and operational procedures. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of relevant technical experience . Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills. Experience with equipment maintenance, repair, or servicing . Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, diagrams, and written specifications. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and accurately document technical information. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures. Technical/vocational education, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience is preferred. Medical device and aerospace, industry experience. Preferred Qualifications Previous calibration or metrology experience . Experience working with measuring instruments, gauges, or test equipment. Experience with mechanical, electromechanical, pneumatic, optical, or pressure systems.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
