Job Description
Overview Tropical Lawnmowers is looking for an experienced Outdoor Power Equipment Mechanic to join our team. We are seeking a dependable, skilled mechanic who can diagnose, repair, and service outdoor power equipment and efficiently manage service orders using IDEAL Computer Systems software. Applicants must already be proficient in IDEAL Computer Systems software and comfortable using the system for repair orders, sales, customer and equipment records, parts, and service history. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair lawn mowers and outdoor power equipment Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance Diagnose mechanical, electrical, fuel, and engine-related problems Determine parts and labor needed for repairs Prepare and maintain accurate repair orders Enter and update repair information in IDEAL Identify and request parts needed to complete repairs Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper operation Keep customers and store staff informed of repair needs and status Manage daily workload and complete repairs in a timely manner Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance advice to clients. Skills Must be proficient in IDEAL Computer Systems software Previous experience repairing lawn mowers and outdoor power equipment Strong small-engine diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of small engines, electrical systems, fuel systems, and mechanical repairs Ability to work independently Strong organizational and time-management skills Dependable attendance and professional work ethic Attention to detail and commitment to quality repairs This role is perfect for motivated technicians eager to apply their technical expertise in a rewarding environment dedicated to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
