Job Title:
Maintenance Electrical Technician Reports to :Maintenance Manager FLSA:
Non-Exempt Job Summary:
The Maintenance Electrical Technician will apply various technologies to test and modify manufacturing machinery and equipment.Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensures high quality and consistency in production processes by executing all daily preventative maintenance and project duties.
- Ensures safe and efficient operation of all production equipment and productivity by evaluating and modifying production equipment.
- Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with equipment, devices, or products; uses appropriate testing devices.
- Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
- Assists with tasks related to development, construction, and evaluation of prototypes, new products, operations, and/or procedures.
- Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Lead repair of breakdowns in the electrical infrastructures, form the electric cabinets to the machines.
- Performs general electrical maintenance.
- Manage spare parts and notify manager of needed parts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good Knowledge of various test equipment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree or postsecondary certificate in related discipline required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Completion an electrical apprenticeship.
- At least two years of related experience as an electrical technician required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing in factory and at times, sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. pounds at times.
- Manual dexterity to evaluate, install, and modify equipment.
- Must be able to reach above shoulder on a regular basis.
- Must be able to push/pull toolbox weighing up to 500lbs.
