Maintenance Electrical Technician

Non-Exempt Job Summary:

The Maintenance Electrical Technician will apply various technologies to test and modify manufacturing machinery and equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensures high quality and consistency in production processes by executing all daily preventative maintenance and project duties.
• Ensures safe and efficient operation of all production equipment and productivity by evaluating and modifying production equipment.
• Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with equipment, devices, or products; uses appropriate testing devices.
• Inspect transformers and circuit breakers and other electrical components.
• Assists with tasks related to development, construction, and evaluation of prototypes, new products, operations, and/or procedures.
• Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
• Lead repair of breakdowns in the electrical infrastructures, form the electric cabinets to the machines.
• Performs general electrical maintenance.
• Manage spare parts and notify manager of needed parts.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Thorough understanding of products and equipment used in manufacturing.

• Excellent time management skills, with proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good Knowledge of various test equipment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.

Education and Experience:

• Associate's degree or postsecondary certificate in related discipline required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Completion an electrical apprenticeship.
• At least two years of related experience as an electrical technician required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing in factory and at times, sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. pounds at times.
• Manual dexterity to evaluate, install, and modify equipment.
• Must be able to reach above shoulder on a regular basis.
• Must be able to push/pull toolbox weighing up to 500lbs.

Job Type:

Full-time Pay:

$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
