CVS Health is seeking an Automation Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated pharmacy and distribution equipment in a healthcare environment. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues, perform preventive maintenance, calibrate and optimize packaging and conveyor systems, and document all work in a CMMS. You'll collaborate with operations, safety, and engineering teams to minimize downtime, support process improvements, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting. Responsibilities Maintain and repair automated pharmacy and distribution equipment, including conveyors and packaging systems. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimize equipment downtime. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibrations per established standards. Use a CMMS to document work orders, parts usage, and maintenance histories. Collaborate with operations, engineering, and safety teams to support throughput and reliability goals. Follow OSHA, company safety policies, and Lockout/Tagout procedures at all times. Identify and recommend equipment or process improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new or upgraded automation systems. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings for troubleshooting. Ensure work complies with quality and regulatory expectations in a healthcare-related environment.
