The engines of our continued success will keep being innovation, internationalization, passion and constant search for excellence in everything we do.Job Descriptionpurpose of position Rana Meal Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Packaging Mechanic / Automation Technician to support high-speed fresh pasta and meal production lines. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and precision-tuning automated packaging equipment, with a strong focus on cartoners, flow wrappers, and form-fill-seal systems. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in a high-speed food or CPG manufacturing environment and has the ability not only to fix equipment, but to fine-tune, align, and optimize machine performance to ensure efficiency, quality, and consistency. Experience with European packaging equipment such as ACMA or similar OEMs is a plus, but not required.key responsibilities Packaging Equipment Maintenance & Optimization Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on: High-speed packaging equipment (cartoners, HFFS/VFFS, tray sealers, conveyors) Food processing equipment (mixers, forming, cooking/cooling systems) Utilities and plant support systems Precision Setup, Adjustment & Calibration Perform fine mechanical adjustments to optimize machine performance, including: Alignment and parallelism of machine components Carton size and product fit adjustments Infeed, transfer, and insertion timing Execute and maintain proper mechanical and electronic zeroing of equipment during setups and changeovers Diagnose and resolve issues related to: Carton forming and feeding Product insertion and handling systems Sealing and closing mechanisms Troubleshooting & Technical Skills Troubleshoot and repair: Mechanical systems (bearings, chains, belts, drives) Pneumatics, sensors, and servo-driven components Basic electrical and control systems Identify root causes of downtime and implement solutions that improve long-term equipment reliability Continuous Improvement & Line Performance Support equipment changeovers, line setups, and performance optimization initiatives Continuously monitor and adjust equipment to maintain high-speed efficiency and product quality Assist with installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment Fabrication, Systems & Compliance Perform light stainless-steel welding and fabrication (MIG/TIG) Utilize CMMS to track maintenance activities and parts usage Ensure compliance with: GMP, HACCP, and SQF standards Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and safety protocols Collaborate with Production, QA, and Sanitation teams to ensure safe and efficient operations Other duties as assigned. Key Skills and Experience High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred 2+ years of experience maintaining high-speed packaging equipment in food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing Hands-on experience with packaging equipment such as: Cartoners Flow wrappers (HFFS) VFFS systems Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform precision adjustments and calibration Working knowledge of: Pneumatics and sensors Servo motors and automated systems Conveyors and packaging line integration Basic PLC exposure (Allen-Bradley or Siemens) strongly preferred Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical drawings Welding/fabrication experience (stainless-steel) preferred Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject to standing for prolonged periods; frequently walks, grasps, lifts, holds, or feels objects; occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. The employee often is required to use manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination when working and handling products, computers, or machinery.
