Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Automation Engineering Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting automation projects through design, development, and troubleshooting of automated systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in engineering principles, proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD 2D and Inventor 3D, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams. Responsibilities Assist in the design and development of automation systems using AutoCAD 2D for detailed drawings and Inventor 3D for modeling components and assemblies. Support the creation of technical documentation, schematics, and layout plans for automation projects. Collaborate with engineers to develop control systems, wiring diagrams, and mechanical layouts. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated equipment and systems during installation, testing, and operation phases. Conduct inspections and quality checks on fabricated components and assemblies to ensure compliance with design specifications. Maintain accurate records of project progress, modifications, and technical data. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize automation processes and system performance. Experience Proven experience working with AutoCAD 2D for technical drawings and Inventor 3D for modeling mechanical parts or assemblies. Familiarity with automation systems, control hardware, sensors, actuators, or PLC programming is preferred. Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and electrical schematics related to automation equipment. Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications accurately. Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is advantageous but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn.
