Full Job Description Location:
Ft.Wayne, IN Shift:
1st shift - (Person has the option of working either a 9/80 work schedule or 4/10's) Job type : 6 months contract #GRPB Job description: Key Responsibilities- Help build, assemble, wire, and test electronic systems, modules, and prototypes for defense applications.
- Perform electrical testing, data collection, instrumentation setup, and troubleshooting of circuits and components.
- Conduct verification, validation, and functional checks according to test plans and engineering procedures.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and engineering drawings.
- Document results, test setups, and system configurations using Ultra's engineering and quality systems.
- Maintain equipment, organize lab workspaces, and enforce safety and configuration control practices.
- Collaborate closely with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineers to support project goals.
- Participate in occasional travel (up to 15% ) for field testing, training, and customer support. Required Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) or a related technical degree
- Ability to interpret schematics, diagrams, and engineering documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
- 4+ years proficiency in the use of digital test meters, oscilloscopes, analog/digital test equipment, product firmware/software installation, cable construction.
- 4+ years proficiency in troubleshooting electronics and electro-mechanical systems down to the component level.
- Experience in PCB rework.
