We provide solutions that create economic, social and environmental value. We are currently recruiting for a The Fiber Design Technician in our Fort Wayne, IN office. The Fiber Design Technician will be responsible for the design and preparation of drawings for FIBER projects. The Fiber Design Technician is required to complete operations, such as annotation, data entry, detail selection, plant design, construction maps. The Fiber Design Technician will work closely with our Design team to design broadband fiber networks.
Position Responsibilities:
Design and prepare drawings for FTTX projects. Correct and update design documents as needed. Create and maintain map layers using CAD and other tools as assigned. Convert both digital and paper documents and sources into client specific formats. Interpret source documents (such as maps, deeds, legal descriptions, and Right of Ways, etc.). To accurately complete the design requirements as specified. Review and confirm completion of field revisions/as-built and maintain current print inventory. Quality control of engineering documents. This is a full-time and ON-SITE position with full benefits that include: Medical Dental Vision Matching 401K 15 days of PTO 8 paid holidays Requirements Skills and Experience required: Associate degree in CAD, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field or equivalent work experience Pole loading analysis & O-Calc experience is a plus Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Experience working with GIS data, ArcGIS, or similar GIS systems a plus Ability to meet job requirements to achieve deadlines and contribute time needed to do such
