As a Senior Automation Reliability Technician, you'll be the go-to expert for complex diagnostics, system stewardship, and continuous improvement across our material handling and packaging technologies. A day on your shift
Schedule:
Wednesday - Saturday, 5:30pm-4:00am Pinpoint and resolve advanced mechanical, electrical, and controls issues on conveyors, sortation equipment, ASRS, and packaging lines. Perform deep-dive troubleshooting on PLC platforms, variable frequency drives, servo motion, and industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profinet). Act as the technical owner for designated systems, tackling complex faults, timing challenges, and system-to-system integration problems. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) activities and implement reliability enhancements that reduce downtime and improve throughput. Design, refine, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Interpret intricate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation. Coordinate with OEMs and third-party vendors to address escalated issues and execute upgrades. Capture work history, system performance, and recommendations within our CMMS. Support equipment trials, upgrades, and capital projects from planning through commissioning. Coach and mentor Maintenance Technicians I & II, sharing best practices and safety-first habits. What you bring Expert-level electrical controls troubleshooting and PLC diagnostics across automation platforms. Hands-on experience with industrial networking, servo systems, and motion control. Strong mechanical aptitude including power transmission, alignments, and component repair. Leadership, mentoring, and advanced problem-solving capabilities. High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred. 3+ years in industrial maintenance within automated environments. Proven success leading complex troubleshooting and maintenance initiatives. Fluency with CMMS for documenting work and tracking asset performance. Physical demands Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift. Comfort with climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and crawling for extended periods. Reach, pull, push, and lift items up to 50 pounds of varying shapes and sizes. Safely operate warehouse equipment (pallet jack, box cutter, carts) requiring coordinated movements.
