Job Description

Job Summary We are a family-owned FAA Part 145 Repair Station specializing in the repair and overhaul of aviation components. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Motor Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electric motors and related components used in aircraft systems. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, follows regulatory requirements, and works well in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, and reassembly of aircraft electric motors and related components Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using approved data and test equipment Conduct functional testing to ensure units meet OEM and FAA specifications Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and component maintenance manuals (CMMs) Document all work performed in accordance with FAA Part 145 requirements and company procedures Maintain compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures Assist with teardown reports and identify repair vs. BER (Beyond Economical Repair) conditions Maintain a clean and organized work area Experience Experience with electric motor repair, preferably in aviation or industrial applications Ability to read and interpret technical data, schematics, and manuals Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Familiarity with FAA Part 145 regulations (preferred but not required) High attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a small team Soldering, wiring, and bench testing experience
Work Environment:
Shop environment with use of tools, solvents, and test equipment Hands-on role requiring standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
