LABORAORY OPERATOR

Director of Engineering TASKS:

Construction and assembling of components (ductworks, flex connections, plenums) that may be needed for the installation and test of the Fans, Air Handling Units, or any equipment tested. Setting up the airflow test chamber, the reverberant room test chamber and installation of the equipment under test. The Laboratory Operator occasionally may perform the tests and produce reports of the test results. He/She will assist in the calibrations of the instruments. In this function they will have to maintain cleanliness and organization in the Lab and perform periodic maintenance of the equipment.

SKILLS:

Mechanical and electrical are necessary. Capacity to work with sheet metal, steel, plywood. Precision and attention to detail are important. Lack of accuracy can compromise the validity of the tests and result in damages to the equipment. Capacity to read Blueprints. Knowledge of software Word, Excel and AutoCad is preferred Capacity to work under pressure and availability to work overtime.

EDUCATION

High School Diploma is preferred.

Pay:

$40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
