Do you want to make a difference in the lives of others? Do you have two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC or electrical systems? If you answered YES, then Western State Hospital (WSH) may be the place for you! With a 172-year history in the Hopkinsville community, WSH is a State acute-care, adult psychiatric facility, accredited by the Joint Commission, and is on the National Register of Historic Places. WSH provides inpatient psychiatric evaluation and treatment for adults from 34 counties of Ky who have severe mental illness. We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance & Operations Technician I that will join our team in the Maintenance department.
COVID-19
vaccination is recommended. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Installs, repairs and maintains air conditioning, heating, refrigeration ventilation systems and associated equipment to include electrical controls. Performs checks and tests on mechanical equipment and effect repairs to meet specifications of original equipment manufacturer. Provide technical assistance in maintenance and operation of all power plant systems. Attends all regulatory and mandatory training. Perform minor maintenance to support the hospital during after-hours and weekends. Other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate would have:

KRS 18A.111.
