USP Big Sandy, KY Duties Help Maintains the physical security of the institution through installion, maintenance and repairs of an array of electronic systems inclusive, but not limited to, PBX telephone switch, trunked radio systems, fire alarm systems, perimeter detection systems, programmable logic controllers and

CCTV/DVR

systems. These systems are critical to the physical security of the institution in preserving the safety and well

• being of staff and the inme populace.

Maintains, develops modificions, and ensures the reliability of the institution's electronic security and communicion systems. Provides technical support during the preparion of drawings and specificions for electronic and telecommunicion equipment as required by B&F Projects, Work Orders, etc. Conducts inspections and performs preventive maintenance as required by policy. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staffs correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis. OR Experience:

GL-10 and GS-11: You must have least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. Experience in the use of schemic diagrams, a variety of test equipment, and the applicion of approprie electronic formulas involved in such duties as testing, troubleshooting, modifying, designing, calibring, installing, maintaining, repairing, constructing, developing, and instructing on electronic equipment, or similar functions. Experience maintaining custom electronic equipment which is continually being modified and adapted, i.e. calibring, installing, troubleshooting and maintaining electronic equipment.
