Job Description

Electronics Technician Job Summary:
An Electronics Technician who possesses a comfortable, practical working knowledge of applied basic electronics, and who combines this skill with a careful and inquisitive engineering approach. Theory is good. Real-world application is better. Professionalism and maturity in communicating ideas and inspiring solutions among peers, management, vendors, and customers are of great importance. Experience and comfort in a real-time and demanding business environment is preferred.
The Work Scope:
The work scope includes routine servicing and troubleshooting of our products, mechanical assembly, electronics test, instrument calibration, and written and verbal communication with customers. Additionally, this role supports core operational functions including purchasing components, managing inventory control systems, shipping, and assisting with ISO quality management coordination. As we are a small company, a cheerful "get it done" attitude and ease in assuming responsibility for a variety of tasks and systems is a must.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Electronics:
A good understanding of and solid experience with analog and digital electronic devices and circuits is essential. Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics technology. Instrument calibration experience would be a strong plus.
Operations & Logistics:
Experience with purchasing/procurement of technical components and managing strict inventory control workflows (e.g., tracking parts stock, handling receiving logs, and matching orders). Knowledge of inventory software is a plus.
Quality Management:
Familiarity or experience with
ISO 9001
compliance and coordination (such as maintaining quality logs, assisting with calibration tracking, or participating in internal audits).
Software:
Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Google Docs/Google Sheets or Microsoft Word, Excel - also willing to learn and use new technology tools.
Experience and Manual Skills:
2+ years of experience at a company, building and working on complex electronics products and sub-assemblies. Skilled with using a wide variety of hand tools such as soldering irons, wire strippers, crimpers, screwdrivers, and pliers.
Independence:
Produce high quality work quickly and accurately with minimal supervision.
Focus:
Must be able to follow written instructions specified by diagrams, verbal instruction, or established operational practices—excellent attention to detail.
Maturity:
Excellent people skills—superb team player with a can-do attitude. Tactful and eager to delight customers. Diligent, organized, reliable, and easy to work with.
Communication:
Strong command of the English language—clear communicator, both verbally and in writing. Additional languages are a plus.
Flexibility:
Willing to work on other tasks as needed including customer support, packing for shipping, QA, inventory management, etc. Salary is commensurate with experience.
