Engineering Technician - Advanced ManufacturingJob Description Join our dynamic team as an Engineering Technician, where you will play a crucial role in supporting the assembly, commissioning, testing, debugging, and maintenance of innovative manufacturing equipment. Our company specializes in producing high-performance thermal components and cooling loop solutions for AI, HPC, and mission-critical systems. Responsibilities Assemble and calibrate machines, including CNC laser cutters, web handling machines, and diffusion bonding furnaces. Coordinate assembly tasks and manage inventory efficiently. Collaborate with machine design and process engineers to document and support changes to machines and address assembly challenges. Debug issues with machines and support engineering improvements for performance and ease of assembly. Assist in building electrical control cabinets and wiring machines. Set up, adjust, and operate assembly or test fixtures. Maintain and update documentation of assembly processes, procedures, and machine/process issues. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and facilities equipment. Conduct basic machining operations for prototyping or part modification. Record data using internal tracking tools and provide feedback for continuous improvement efforts. Essential Skills 4+ years of experience supporting industrial manufacturing equipment, automation systems, or capital equipment. Hands-on experience assembling and troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and product specifications. Experience with machine maintenance, equipment debugging, and basic machining (mill, lathe, CNC). Strong sense of workmanship and ownership over assigned systems. Experience following procedures and documenting data. Comfortable with hands-on work, using tools, and running equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma, technical certification, or associate degree in a technical discipline; equivalent hands-on experience considered. Experience using CAD to view models and drawings. Experience with vacuum, laser, hydraulic, machine tools, or robotics is preferred. Knowledge of metrology, inspection, and spreadsheet software. Basic software skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and CMMS preferred. Work Environment This role requires a commitment of five days onsite per week. The environment is collaborative and fast-paced, with a focus on high standards and innovation. Standard benefits include three weeks of PTO and 10 holidays. The work involves hands-on tasks and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Burlington, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $44.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
