What You Will Do:

Provide oversight and guidance to technicians on daily workloads and maintenance priorities to ensure technicians are tasked in a manner that meets factory and customer service standards In absence of Service Supervisor, direct all activities in area Perform regular maintenance and emergency troubleshooting repairs Monitor progress of jobs to keep on schedule and maintain orderly flow of work Ensure service work gets completed in order of priority Assist supervisor in identifying training needs for area personnel and scheduling training classes Perform regular maintenance and emergency troubleshooting repairs Gather information from

SIS, CAT, WTY, DBS

as needed to help in diagnosis and repair and determine warranty Ensure technicians follow CAT diagnostic procedures and complete needed warranty reports Assist less experienced technicians, as needed Provide technicians with a positive role model through effective leadership and strong work ethics Write service reports that accurately document diagnosis and repairs performed Prepare required documentation including work orders, parts lists, and time cards in an accurate and timely manner Review service reports for accuracy and completeness Confer with management and supervisory personnel to resolve issues and complaints within work force Check out equipment prior to shipment; check in equipment upon return Open work order segments for additional repairs and notify Service Advisor Assist technicians in preparing estimates to ensure it includes all aspects of the repair Perform other related duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

Minimum five years' experience with heavy construction equipment High school diploma or GED, required Strong mechanical aptitude and expert level troubleshooting skills; able to accurately diagnose and repair equipment Occasional operation of heavy equipment Excellent customer relations skills Strong communicator with excellent verbal and communication skills Ability to lead and motivate employees Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and manage time effectively Self-directed with ability to work with limited supervision Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment Proficient in the use of a computer, Microsoft Office products and service software Willingness to work shifts as needed, including days, nights, and/or weekends to meet customer needs
