Contract Position Summary:
Description:
Calibration of engine controls for North America and global markets Complete engine calibration in accordance with procedures to meet regulations and other performance targets (emission, fuel economy, power, drivability and OBD) Prepare and manage calibration and resource schedule to meet development deadlines Test preparation, data collection, data analysis, and technical report creation on a regular basis Build successful relationships with calibration technician group Conduct vehicle testing and development under extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, high altitude) Complete required internal training necessary for job execution (Technical, Driving, etc.)Perform software logic and value confirmation activities
Requirements:
A Bachelor s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical or other related Engineering discipline Experience in engine calibration (1+ years) Excellent driving record Thorough understanding of internal combustion engine theory/practice Proficiency in MS Office Experience investigating technical issues and creating effective technical solutions Emission, bench, drivability or OBD calibration experience in conventional and/or hybrid powertrain Experience calibrating engine controls for markets other than the US (Japan, Europe, China, etc.) Experience with Model-Based Design or Calibration processes Experience with other programming languages such as Python, VBA, etc. Proficiency in project management tools Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/C/C++ programming languages Experience working in a culturally diverse environment Understanding of Emission and OBD regulations for US and other markets
