Department:

6280 - Instrumentation Support Services The Instrumentation Development Technician is primarily responsible for the repair, maintenance, and build-up of electronic test instrumentation associated with vehicle testing at the Stellantis Chelsea Proving Grounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, PLC's/ industrial controls, and demonstrated trouble-shooting skills. Other duties may include general bench work (building cable harnesses, circuit assembly, test boxes), calibrating meters and sensors, network/ PC repair.

Job Duties:

Fabrication, assembly/disassembly of various types of electro-mechanical/electronic instruments, motor drivesCalibration, repair and testing of various transducers and gaugesUse soldering to build various cable/wire harnesses and connectorsElectrical wiring/harness/cable building with various connector/wire specificationsUse hand tools/bench tools/machine tools to build/test/verify various electronic instruments

Basic Qualifications:

A minimum of Associate's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or High School diploma/GED and military equivalent.

Able to work with minimal supervision, work independently and work as part of a team.

Highly customer focused (flexible to provide necessary support when required)Basic computer skills using MS Office.

Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years minimum experience working in the field of electronicsExperience trouble-shooting instrumentation, data acquisition, AC/ DC drives, PLC's/ industrial controls in an automotive test lab environment.
