Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced calibration technician to join our production and calibration team in Apex, NC that will also function as a lab coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining all calibration standards, supervising technicians, performing calibrations, and assisting managers with quality system tasks and maintenance. Experience with electrical, dimensional, mechanical, and fluid dynamic systems is preferred. Familiarity with
ISO/IEC 17025
is preferred as well. The ideal candidate will have a passion for maintaining high standards of precision and attention to detail! Responsibilities Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair of all products. Maintain all internal standards. This includes interacting with outside vendors for re-calibration, repairs, and procurement. Create new internal templates and forms while keeping the quality system up to date. Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform repairs with multimeters and basic hand tools. Supervise lab technicians. Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following experience, skills, and personal attributes:
  • Must be computer literate with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, prefer advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Must have knowledge of metrology skills including a sound understanding of tolerances and usage of precise mechanical and electrical measurement instruments and a working knowledge of measurement uncertainty.
  • Must be able to read mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics, accurately apply scientific formulas, and read and maintain laboratory files.
  • Must demonstrate ability to be accurate and identify procedural inaccuracies.
  • Strong communication and customer relationship skills including business acumen.
  • Be highly organized and able to coordinate different tasks. Have experience interacting professionally with internal and external customers as well as vendors.
  • Be a problem solver who can make solid job-related decisions with critical thinking and root cause analysis skills.
  • Work well as a team member and team contributor.
  • Able to lift 50lbs. Experience
  • Technical associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience is strongly preferred.
Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
