A Calibration Technician is responsible for the routine inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of instruments and manufacturing equipment. The purpose of the calibration technician role is to ensure the accuracy of the measurements taken using this equipment.

The Position Calibrate measuring equipment on schedule & in accordance with corporate & local requirements. Provide troubleshooting, problem solving & project support for measuring equipment site wide. Relationships Reports to the Supervisor/Manager Metrology. Essential Functions Calibrate & repair temperature, pressure, conductivity, humidity, pH, TOC, flow, mass & frequency measuring equipmentAccurately & legibly records all activities in appropriate documentationWrite work ordersReview documentation for accuracy & completenessOperate & handle calibration working standards with care & expertiseAttain & maintain aseptic clean room certificationIdentify deviations per proper procedures for measuring equipmentParticipate in systematic problems solvingProvide support to process owners for measuring equipmentExecute work according to schedule & department planEvaluate measuring equipment performance & responds to potential issuesContribute to process confirmationsMaintain training qualifications on time. Support training others as requiredSupport other department roles as neededFollow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther duties as assigned Physical Requirements Moves equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. Routinely operates & inspects manufacturing equipment using hands. Strap & unstrap pallets using hands. Ability to be on feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May required corrected vision to 20/20 or 20/25 based on role. May require colour vision based on role. Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder. May be required to work at elevated heights. Occasionally works around odorous &/or hazardous materials. May be required to wear gloves. Occasionally performs critical job functions in extremely cold work environment. Occasionally positions oneself within confined spaces for inspection, repair & maintenance of equipment. Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection. May be required to secure a motorized vehicle license & operate a motorized vehicle based on the role. Qualifications Associate's degree in related engineering or science discipline from an accredited university required, or equivalent combination of education & experienceMay consider a High School Diploma (GED) with five (5) years of relevant metrology/calibration work experience required and five (5) years of thorough understanding of instrumentation & control systems requiredMinimum three (3) years of relevant metrology/calibration work experience preferreMinimum three (3) years of thorough understanding of instrumentation & control systems preferredCompetency in metrology preferredAbility to calibrate the following parameters: temperature, pressure, conductivity, humidity, pH, TOC, flow, mass & frequency preferredExperience using electronic calibration management systems preferredAbility to read & apply schematics, wiring diagrams & other technical documents requiredBasic computer skills, to include use of MS Office Suite requiredDemonstrate a high level of task management organization preferredAbility to demonstrate logical task execution planning& related follow-up preferredAbility to demonstrate a systematic approach to problem solving & troubleshooting preferredAbility to document problems thoroughly & accurately & bring them to resolution quickly required We commit to an inclusive recruitment process and equality of opportunity for all our job applicants.
