Job Purpose:
Being a Lionel Customer Service Repair Technician comes with many fun aspects. Not only do you repair and service our beloved products, but you also get to play with trains all day! These are not your Grandfather's Lionel trains. These modern Lionel trains utilize state of the art technology, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth control from iOS and Android smart devices. The Customer Service Repair Technician should enjoy tinkering with small mechanical and electronic components. Must understand electronics, components, soldering, and be familiar with using a multimeter for testing AC/DC voltage, resistance, and continuity. Must be able to understand and interpret product operation, features, appearance, and capabilities. The CS repair tech. essential functions include but are not limited to the following:Responsibilities:
- Product Repair
- diagnose and repair all Lionel products produced within the last 10 years
- Customer Support
- assist Call Center Representatives with repair guidelines and over-the-phone diagnoses
- Testing
- perform thorough testing on all Lionel products for form, function, and reliability.
- Quality Assurance of all product repairs
- Training
- participate in cross-training other Repair Technicians
- Troubleshooting of products
- Programming and testing of circuit board firmware
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the
Customer Service Repair Manager Skills/Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of electronics.
- Reading and interpreting wiring diagrams/schematics.
- Computer skills (excel, word, and internet) are required.
- Strong time management, organization skills, and enthusiasm required.
- Effective listening and communication skills required.
- Must be a self-starter with a willingness to learn new skills.
- Packing/shipping experience required to ensure safe transportation of products.
- Service Station experience or previous train repair experience is a plus.
- Electronics certificate or degree is a plus.
- Must be team oriented.
Pay:
$17.00- $20.
