Job Summary We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer supporting high volume cable manufacturing operations. Support production line installation activities via procurement of services, equipment, and parts, design of simple fixtures, assemblies and stands, and interfacing with 3rd party contractors. The candidate should be able to apply scientific and technological principles encompassed in mechanics, hydraulics, and machine design in support of the design, production, operation, and use of machinery of all types. Key Responsibilities
  • Requires understanding and application of standard mechanical engineering methodologies with general knowledge of other related disciplines.
  • Able to read blue prints and part drawings and familiarity with CAD (Inventor, AutoCAD, etc.).
  • Provides technical solutions to a wide range of installation problems.
  • Works under minimal direction, supporting a Lead Engineer but independently determining and developing approaches to solutions. Frequent inter organizational and/or external contacts.
  • Represents the organization.
  • Strong working relationships outside of immediate work group . Required Qualifications
  • BS in a technical field + 3 years' experience in Manufacturing This role is restricted to U.
