Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Traveling Field Technician, where your mechanical and electrical expertise and passion for fire suppression systems will drive success across diverse job sites. This role offers the exciting opportunity to travel extensively, providing on-site repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting for a wide range of industrial fire suppression systems incl PLC and equipment. Your hands-on skills will ensure the systems operates at peak performance, supporting clients in various industries including wood, pharmaceuticals ,food, auto parts and manufacturing. If you thrive on problem-solving, enjoy working independently, and are eager to develop your technical skills across multiple equipment types, this position is perfect for you! Duties Travel to customer sites nationwide to perform diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance and new installations on industrial fire suppression systems. Utilize blueprints/schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues accurately Perform tasks and assembly of parts as needed using power tools and hand tools Low voltage knowledge is required. Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports for each job performed Ensure safety standards are met during all repair and work activities . Experience Proven service technician experience with a strong background in mechanical repair and diagnostics Hands-on experience with low voltage electrical, PLC knowledge, fire suppression , conduit applications in industrial environments Familiarity with with lifts. Strong mechanical ability Customer service experience with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
