Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Engineering Technician to join our team. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineering department by assisting providing electronic and instrumentation support in production environment at all Alliance One North America facilities. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Assist with and/or assume responsibility for the installation, maintenance and calibration of the following: Instrumentation. (Flow Meters, Pressure and Temperature Sensors etc.) Electronic Devices. (Moisture Meters etc.) Electronic Systems. (Foreign Matter Removal Equipment.) Weigh Belts and Load cells. PLC and HMI systems. Related Computer hardware, software and networking. Maintain and troubleshoot controllers and other equipment. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Job Competencies:
Good written and verbal communication skills. Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills. Good overall mechanical and electrical skills. Successful applicant should have some experience, in the following area: Electrical and Electronic equipment, Allen-Bradley PLC' s, Rockwell Software RS Logix PLC, Programming Language, PLC Communications and Rockwell Software RS View SE HMI Software.
Experience:
Associate degree preferred or technical school or higher. High School diploma required with further education. 2-3 years Electronic or Electrical experience. 2-3 years' experience in a production environment We offer competitive pay based on experience, along with benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
