Marvin is hiring a Custom Equipment Programming Group (CEPG) Controls Team Supervisor to guide the Controls team while continuing to perform controls work. In this role, you'll lead, mentor, and coordinate the work of Controls Technicians, helping the team complete projects successfully and on time. You'll also partner with specialists in supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), database systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLC) to integrate sophisticated automated manufacturing equipment. Highlights of your role:
Provide direction for the Controls group while continuing to execute controls work, collaborating with Automation Systems, Maintenance, Information Systems, and Operations. Support team leadership activities, including interviewing candidates, training employees, planning work, balancing workloads, delegating assignments, evaluating work, addressing concerns, and resolving problems. Research, analyze, install, and test automation control systems to improve machine efficiency, advance existing systems, and support current and future production demands. Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and programming-related equipment and facility issues. Recommend preventive maintenance rule sets for recurring issues and identify opportunities to improve operational procedures. Manage projects and timelines through successful completion or resolution while maintaining feedback loops and providing end-user training. Serve as a liaison with vendors to ensure new and modified equipment, control panels, wiring schematics, components, and electrical practices align with Marvin specifications and procedures. Build collaborative relationships across functional departments. You're a good fit if you have (or if you can): Working knowledge of manufacturing software, including ICIM, and Microsoft Office Suite Experience with PLC and operator interface programming languages Familiarity with standard networking technologies and hardware Knowledge of SCADA, automation control systems, and related components Knowledge of data communication protocols, industrial protocols, and computer operating systems such as Microsoft Windows and Unix/Linux Also want to make sure you have: A four-year degree, one to two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience working in a manufacturing environment Project management skills and the ability to execute work according to established timelines Strong, proactive communication, training, and mentoring skills The ability to create a collaborative team environment and empower others to take ownership of assigned work We invite you to See Yourself atMarvin:
