Fiber Optic Splice Technician Fiber Optic Splicer Technician is primarily responsible for fusion splicing, verification testing, troubleshooting and fiber optic cable repair. Fiber Optic Splice Technician is responsible for day-to-day operations and maintenance of company equipment as well as manual labor needed to support the construction operations of JBC Utility as well as, ongoing commitment to deliver outstanding service, sustainable sales growth, and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: Work independently as well as collaborate with other team members. Ability to consistently produce large volumes of work with accuracy. All daily related paperwork Maintaining the truck, stocking, cleaning Overseeing the safety of anyone operating in or around the job site Maintaining a safe work environment Follow all customer requirements while working on any customer networks. Job Requirements Required 2 - 3 years experience Drivers license required Excel in use of diagnostic equipment i.e. OTDR, splice machines and test equipment. Ability to read and comprehend splice documents. Ability to trouble shoot and repair complex splice locations. Ability to obtain DOT physical. Should have a good driving record. Knowledge of safe operation of bucket trucks Have the ability to travel including overnight(s) Good verbal and written communication skills Computer skills - MS word and excel.
