Controls / PLC Technician - 2nd Shift Swedesboro, NJ$45-$46/hourDirect Hire We are recruiting for an experienced Controls / PLC Technician for a large manufacturing facility in Swedesboro, NJ. This is a hands-on troubleshooting role for someone who is strong electrically, comfortable working around automated production equipment, and capable of diagnosing PLC and controls-related problems when equipment goes down. Responsibilities Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues on automated production and packaging equipment. Diagnose PLC-controlled equipment and identify faults using PLC software and machine diagnostics. Troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs, I/O, sensors, photo eyes, relays, safety circuits, and control panels. Work with VFDs, motors, HMIs, servos, and industrial automation components. Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Troubleshoot 24VDC and 120/240/480VAC electrical systems. Identify failed electrical or controls components and complete repairs or replacements. Respond to production breakdowns and determine the root cause of equipment failures. Assist with preventive maintenance and reliability improvements. Work with maintenance and production teams to reduce recurring downtime. Follow all plant safety and food-manufacturing requirements. Qualifications Industrial electrical, controls, automation, or PLC troubleshooting experience. Strong electrical troubleshooting ability. Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled machinery. Allen-Bradley / Rockwell Automation experience preferred. Ability to troubleshoot PLC I/O and determine whether a problem is electrical, controls-related, or mechanical. Experience with VFDs, motors, sensors, HMIs, and automated equipment. Ability to read electrical schematics. Manufacturing experience required. Food, bakery, beverage, packaging, or other high-speed production experience is a plus.
