$15.00 Employees being promoted to a higher classified position receive the minimum for the position or a pay rate adjustment of 8% whichever is greater. All regular positions also entitle the employee to several benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement which is largely paid by New Mexico Tech for the employee and dependents.

JOB SUMMARY:
Maintain Lightning Mapping Array. Verify proper operation. Keep software configurations on stations up to date Keep real-time data flowing Advise on future upgrades.
JOB FUNCTIONS
Monitor LMA station performance and adjust parameters/config files to maintain good performance. Monitor Real Time LMA and quickly correct software failures Direct field service of hardware Maintain spare parts inventory and recommend replacement parts for repair Assemble new stations from spare parts Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree or completion of program 18+ months after high school in Physics or Electrical Engineering.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Atmospheric Science or General Engineering. 3+ years operating lightning mapping arrays.
