Job Description
A Control System Technician / PLC Technician / Automation Technician is required to join an industry leader within mission-critical and hyperscale environments in Reno, NV. The Control System Technician / PLC Technician / Automation will have hands-on experience with PLC systems such as Studio 5000, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and other control systems, along with expertise in system startups, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Package:
$60,000 - $90,000 (Dependent on experience) Bonus Scheme, 401k, Life Insurance, PTO PLC Technician / Automation Technician /Systems Technician Responsibilities :
Start-up, check-out, and commissioning of PLC-based building control systems Troubleshoot, test, and calibrate HVAC, mechanical controls, and PLC systems Make minor PLC code modifications and configure system elements (trend logs, alarms, graphics, and zones) Record and update as-built drawings and control documentation related to PLC systems Provide training on system usage and maintenance, including PLC programming basics Collaborate with project engineers and technical teams during PLC installations and upgrades Construct panels and prepare field documentation, including UL tags, check-out sheets, and redline drawings for PLC systems Manage time effectively to ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget PLC Technician / Automation Technician /Systems Technician Requirements :
Associate degree in Applied Technology or equivalent experience Strong knowledge of PLC systems (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens, Studio 5000), DDC control theory, mechanical/electrical systems, and field instrumentation Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on PLC systems Comfortable with physical demands (lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, working in mechanical rooms) Experience in HVAC, building automation, and PLC-based environments strongly preferred Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally Resides within 45 minutes of Reno, NVBenefits
