Electronics Technician - Repair & Test | DeFelsko Corporation DeFelsko Corporation is a leading U.S. manufacturer that designs and builds precision hand-held inspection instruments including coating thickness gauges, ultrasonic gauges, and surface profile instruments that are used in shipyards, pipelines, aerospace, and manufacturing plants worldwide. Every instrument that comes back for service crosses a repair bench. DeFelsko is hiring a technician for that bench. Key Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair PCB assemblies at the component level — real diagnostic work across many different product families, rather than repetitive work on a single subassembly Perform functional and performance testing using oscilloscopes, DMMs, and custom test fixtures Work directly with the design engineers who created these products, providing failure-mode findings that help drive product and design improvements Document repairs, test results, and procedures Support production with quality checks and electronics troubleshooting Qualifications Required Associate's degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent hands-on electronics experience Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electronic circuits and perform soldering/rework, gained through professional work experience, military electronics training (such as Army 94-series, Navy AT/ET, Air Force avionics, or equivalent), or a serious and demonstrated electronics hobbyist background Ability to read schematics and follow technical test documentation Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting Preferred Surface-mount component rework experience Familiarity with IPC-A-610 or
J-STD-001
