Automation Technician

Responsibilities Lead mid-level engineering projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder communication. Develop and implement control strategies in collaboration with Operations and Engineering teams. Maintain system documentation, as-built drawings, and control system records to ensure a strong state of control. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and automation performance. Research, evaluate, and select automation technologies and equipment to support business objectives. Develop calibration, preventive maintenance, and operational procedures for control systems and instrumentation. Skills & Qualifications 5+ years experience with process control systems including instrumentation, automated control, and electrical distribution Experience in programming/troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Experience in programming and configuration of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred Experience working in chemical, food, or pharmaceutical industries. Experience with Allen-Bradley, Modicon, and Siemens S7 PLCs Experience with Wonderware products AutoCad experience Experience with network and system administration of Microsoft based systems, Visual Basic, and SQL Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bedford, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
