Founded in 1837, Cuyahoga County's safety-net health system operates four hospitals, four emergency departments and more than 20 health centers.
Summary:
Supports the day-to-day operations of the hospital's automated pharmacy dispensing systems. Provides user support, performs maintenance activities and troubleshooting, and monitors proper functionality and use of the system. Coordinates the installation of new units or the expansion of the system with the appropriate hospital departments, such as Information Systems and Facilities. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) verified through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). 1 year end-user experience with pharmacy automation. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Willing and able to travel to sites throughout The MetroHealth System as needed. Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
Preferred:
3 years of experience as Pharmacy Technician in an acute care setting. 1 year of experience with managing pharmacy automation products. Prior experience with Epic EMR. Proficiency with MS Excel.
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and ambulate intermittently during the day. May sit or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to lift or push at least 50lbs. Ability to use computer. Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications. Ability to read job-related documents.
