JOB SUMMARY
The Electrical Maintenance Technician {EMT) is responsible for all the electrical maintenance of all equipment including robotic PLC equipment and the training of employees on the equipment. This position is responsible for charging and rectification equipment and their respective control functions. The EMT will provide assistance for the maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment and control devices used in testing and evaluating batteries.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Is responsible for:
  • Understanding and following policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Identifying and reporting product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel
  • Controlling nonconforming products
  • Supporting implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions
  • Proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
Responsible for the daily housekeeping of the maintenance area and any other area that was worked in that day. Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment where required. Responsible for providing electrical maintenance on a timely basis so that manufacturing can continue to run with minimum interruption. Responsible for troubleshooting, repair and calibration of meters and equipment. Responsible for troubleshooting, minor repair and minor adjustments of robotic operations. Responsible for troubleshooting of servo systems and drives. Responsible for troubleshooting and minor programming adjustments of PLC Ladder logic. Responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and wire electrical control panels. Understand the design, operation, and functional distinctions of battery forming rectifiers. Be familiar and complaint with the systems, procedures, and documentation of the company Quality System and how it relates to this position and company quality objectives.

COMPENTICIES
Good analytical and trouble shooting skills. Basic technical education including math and physical sciences. Technical certifications preferred. Attendance should be kept at 6 points or less. Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers, supervision, and management. Ability to listen effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must be 18 years of age 2-4 years industrial experience and verifiable work history (Robotics, PLC) Associates degree or certification in industrial electricity/power controls preferred Knowledge of DC and AC electrical concepts and equipment, transformers and electrical/robotic safety systems. Familiarity with conversion from analog to digital and digital to analog.
